Little Babe Friendly Queenstown Accommodation

Hi Mama, so this winter me and my girlfriend and her little babe headed to Queenstown. We had initially booked an Air BnB but at the last minute we changed our stay to Mercure Resort Queenstown - and BOY am I glad. It was FAB! I would stay there again for sure and here's why.

The View

Let me just say it was hard going back to Auckland and not having the gorgeous view. We got the lake view room and it was WELLLL worth it. The little babes definitely enjoyed waking up to snowy mountains and the most unreal Lake Wakatipu, #bliss

The Spa w/ Mountain Views

Ok I know, more views! But seriously, it was so dreamy and relaxing and just a perfect way to spend some down time with ya little babe. Eli absolutely loved hanging out in the spa and kept saying "more bubbles, mummy!"

The Beds are so FAB

Like super fab! I had the best 4 night sleep! And sleep is life as a mama so I don't think theres much else I need to say here.

The Room Service Menu was Toddler Approved

If you like potato chips and are on a budget this was such a winner with the little babes. We got a bowl of chips eat every now and then and one bowl was pretty filling for one babe and their mama - and for only $7 not having to lug the kids in the car to get affordable food was so FAB!

The Dinner Menu was Toddler Approved

We had dinner at the resturant (more views mama more views) and dinner or resturants in general with toddlers can sometimes be a nightmare but we had a pretty enjoyable time. The staff were quick to get us highchairs and they even had a kids menu (which was actually quite affordable at $10 for a kids main). But, we opted on just getting a main each and some extra potatoe chips and shared with the babes  as the portion sizes were very generous. Dinner was delish - I got the steak and my girlfriend got the lasagne!

Location, Location, Location

Besides the views (I'll try to stop but seriously you need to experience the magic), the location was perfect. Slightly outside of the main centre but close enough to quickly get down there to get food and wander. Also right by the turn into Glenorchy.

Price Range: $$$

The only downside is that it is pricey but that's the nature of Queenstown in general and having decent accommodation during winter was seriously important to us. So ya win some ya loose some!
